William,

You take the risk on trying one of the solutions Microsoft has posted
online to fixing your #2 question that it may not work, for whatever
reason, and blow your entire Exchange to bits. Or you pull out your
Visa, MasterCard, Amex, or whatever you have and you let a professional
at Microsoft walk you through your problem (online) and fix the problem.
I have seen them to miracles that I never though could even be done, the
risk is yours!

Regards,

Andrew

Hi

Lets call this a miser client who wants the cheap way out....or someone
to blame the problem on to sue.....get the picture :-(

1. Does Microsoft accept case calls from Europe ....at what site
can I get the phone numbers?
2. Do you think stopping Exchange services and restoring the
MDBDATA folder will help any or worth a try?

Thanks

William

William,

How come your looking for the cheap way out? I think someone already
said it would be a good idea for you to call Microsoft and speak to a
support rep. Sure they are going to charge you the $250 (case fee) but
thems the breaks. Your other option is if your database is still intact
you could manually rebuild each mailbox using Ontrack PowerControls 2.1
but the software alone costs $1500 USD. So the choice is yours.

Regards,

Andrew

Hi

Have a serious Exchange issue.....server blue screened......all Exchange
services started but stores do not mount as they are corrupt.

An eseutil repair states they are repaired but will require a recovery.
The eseutil /r state that the LOG file/s are corrupt.

What can be done? The only backup available is of the Exchange hard
drive and not an Exchange IS Backup using NTbackup.

Please advise.

Will
