Thanks, Mike, I do use Trend Micro for attachment scanning. However, I am
quarantining it, I will talk to management about deleting it from the get
go!

thanks, again.

Juan

There are gateway scanning products that you can use. Your AV vendor may
offer one. The other thing could be to delete all emails w/ certain
attachments (don't quarantine). We delete all attachments (and the email
itself) for anything coming in for exe, com, bat, pif, scr, vbs. It cuts down on
the work the av products spends scanning. Your AV program on exchange
should allow you to do attachment blocking. If it doesn't I'd suggest
investing in something more current.

Hello to all,

I am sure most of you have experience the SOBig.F viurs by now. I received
almost 1000 attachments for the last two days. Fortunately the server is
blocking them all. Exchange 5.5 with SP4.

Is there a way to somehow block those emails to even get to my server? Am I
just dreaming?

Thanks in advance.
