Hi,

My .stm files are on c:\program files\exchsrver\mdbdata.

Should these live in the same folder as my mail stores? Or do I need to
point the utility at them?

Sure appreciate your input.

        First is your Store database and Temp files on separate
partitions or folders?
        Looks like it is looking for the Stream or STM file.
        Did you shutdown the information store first?
        They need to be down before you can run the eseutil.
        Just a couple of thoughts.

        Hi Scott,

        My lack of understanding in the eseutil is no doubt causing my
problems, I tried several times over the weekend to run the defrag and
couldn't get past the following error:

        ~~~~~
        My command line:
        eseutil /d d:\exchvr\priv1.edb >> c:\exDefrag.txt
        eseutil /d d:\exchvr\pub1.edb >> c:\exDefrag.txt
        The result:
        Any thoughts?
