Yes the ip's of your internal network should be there as well. If you want somebody to relay on your server just list the ip in the relaying options. From your network to relay you still have to enable the relay for the internal network ip's Regards Robert Abela robert@xxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: Oluwaseyi Owoeye [mailto:OOwoeye@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2002 4:10 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Stopping mail relaying http://www.MSExchange.org/ Thanks Should the list of ip addresses there be a list of ip addresses on my network? What do I do if I don't want anybody to be able to relay mails by telneting into my port 25. First of all choose no one except the lsit below. And make the lists of ip's you want them to relay on your server. Hi Guys, I have a major problem over here. I am presently using Exchange server 2000 and I noticed that people are able to telnet into my port 25 and use my server as a relay. I tried setting the configuration on the smtp virtual server but it was all to no avail. Please could anyone guide me on what to do so as to stop mail relaying on my server. The configurations on the smtp virtual server are quite tricky.
