Spam relay HELP!

Hello All,
I'm in need of help. I need to secure my exchange 2000 server so it
will not be able to relay spam email. I'm afraid it's already happening
and need to stop it. However, I'm not sure on how to fix the situation.
I've read some articles, however my brain is not up to speed this week
and it's not registering. What do I need to do to make sure this isn't
the case? And if it is, how do I fix it.
