Is it necessary to use FBA if you are using HTTPS?

I am asking because I just upgraded to 2003 , and OWA takes a good whole
minute to load most of the time. Wondering if FBA is a resource hog or
not. ( I have tried it with every compression setting.. currently off)

 Robert,

You can use either HTTP or FBA with HTTPS. FBA is the recommended
option.

Subject: Soka|OWA 2003 & authentication

Is anyone using OWA 2003 over the web without forms based
authentication? If so, which HTTP authentication method are using with
OWA?

It seems that if you use a FE server (because you have multiple BE
servers), then you have to use FBA.

Thanks, Robert
