Thanks for confirming this. Wow... you got Training!!!.. I wish I had a manager
like yours that allows you to have training before being given a product that
you have to support.
Most mangers I had in the past just throw you in and expect you to sink or swim
on your own, however I have a good one now.

You still have to have an exchange enabled account to store the
voicemail. Exchange is currently where the information is stored.
Two ways you can set it up, at least that is the way the explained in
training, was that you could have Unity running and storing messages on
a local instance of Exchange or a different instance of Exchange.
If I was running the AVVID solution in a non-Exchange email shop, I
would store the messages on the local Unity box, where Exchange was
installed. Unity requires Lotus Notes or Microsoft Exchange to run. I
have heard that 5.0 will be based on a Linux solution or so the rumors
go.
Hope that clarifies. For what it is worth before we moved over to the
system I spent time at Cisco going through the Administrating a Cisco IP
Telephony Solution class that covered both Unity and Call Manager that
was absolutely wonderful.
