MA> 1 hour? Do you have a dial up connection?

No, that's the thing.. I want it to send instantly over our broadband
connection to the Internet, but cant find where to set it to do this.

At the moment when I hit send in Outlook, the mail sits on the server
until the next sync time.

thanks...

MA> Hi all,

MA> I'm pretty new to Exchange, just trying a few things out...

MA> I want emails to be delivered instantly, i.e. when a user hits send in
MA> Outlook, for that email to go to the recipient straight away.

MA> I've set up Exchange out of the box, along with SBS, and am trying to find
MA> out where to set that. I'm looking in:

MA> Server Management
MA> Advanced management
MA> Exchange Server
MA> Connectors
MA> SmallBusiness SMTP Connector

MA> But the only option I can see under 'Delivery Options' is to run every
MA> 1 hour. This is working in itself, i.e. I send an email, and up to 1 hour
MA> later I get it, but how to I make this delivery instantaneous?

MA> I've got Charlie Russel's SBS 2003 book, but can't see the answer there
MA> either...

MA> thanks, bye!
