they both run through iis, not as their own independent services. exchange uses the folder /EXCHANGE as a default SUS uses the folder /SUSAdmin and I think /SUS as a default you could throw a few thousand other things on there as well if you wanted provided they are all in their own virtual folders off of the default web site in iis.
