I'm pretty sure Mark knows how transaction logs work. His question was more
rhetorical.
And the first log created after the E00.log is full is typically something
like "Enn00001.log"

Exchange Transaction log file, and they normally start from E01.log.

You should not delete any log files manually.

Performing a full-online backup of your Exchange Storage Groups using an
Exchange aware backup program such as NTBackup will purge the log files.

Never ever manually delete transaction log files.

You should delete logs daily except two log file that is 1.E00.LOG AND
2.E00tmp.log
