Routing between exchange 5.5 & 2000

I am having two servers istalled with exchange 5.5(NT) and Exchange
2000(W2k).2000 server is in a seperate subdomain of the NT server
(a.com-->b.a.com).I want to establish a connection between the 2 servers
and transfer mails between the users in both domain and the sub domain.
W2k is with AD,domain controller and forestprep/domainprep installed.
Please help me to solve this issue.(NT with SP 6 & W2k with sp 2)
