Just to be clear on this, if you have not implemented the DumpsterAlwaysOn
reg key, when you delete an item using SHIFT+DELETE it bypasses the Deleted
Items folder and thus bypasses the Dumpter (used to recover deleted items),
and therefore you will not be able to recover it.

Hi Sam

Shift deleting in Oulook doesn't bypass deleted item retention. It only
bypasses the deleted items folder. Thus if you highlight the deleted items
folder in Oulook and choose recover deleted items they should be there. This
assumes you have it setup and that you have not gone past the retention
period of course. The default is 30 days.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Paul Lemonidis.
