Chris

Take a look at this article, it should help you troubleshoot the
problem: http://blogs.msdn.com/mfp2/archive/2004/03/08/86204.aspx

Subject: [exchangelist] Requesting data from Exchange....

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi all,

I've been getting this message everytime Outlook attempts to connect to
our Exchange server to retrieve an email. The message is a box that
says: "Outlook is retrieving data from the Microsoft Exchange Server
"EXchangerServername". You can cancel the request....." I used to get
that once in a blue moon, but now it's showing up everytime I try to
preview an email in Outlook... Is this normal for Exchange or do I have
processes running on Exchange that I'm not aware of that's causing this
delay?

Thanks
-chris

Subject: [exchangelist] SMTP Service will not start

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I am looking for some help with an Exchange problem where my SMTP
service refuses to start. I can get all other services to start but as
soon as I attempt to start SMTP, nothing. I am running SBS with all the
latest patches and everything else seems to be working fine. I would
really appreciate anyones help with this problem. Does anyone know of
any utilities that would help diagnose the problem? Cheers Wade
