What about exporting his exchange mail (via outlook) into PST, burn it to CD bring it to his house. then, setup Exchange to copy all mails to him and that account at his house, assuming he is willing to give up an email addy at his house? Depending on their firewall configs (if will allow) remote desktop should provide better performance for your connection speed then going through OWA. Just perhaps another way to try. Thanks, Shawn. -----Original Message----- From: Troy Armour [mailto:troy@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 01, 2003 1:07 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Replicate Email http://www.MSExchange.org/ hello there guys-its the irish paddy here again...i have a problem that i cant seem to sort. the MD of one of my clients wants a copy of his emails on his home PC. he wants to download them just as they would at work. what i did was set up Outlook on his home PC and asked it to download his emails from the server in his office as a POP account. the problem is this emptied his inbox. is it possible to do this without empting his inbox???? surely this is a doddle to you lot. ps i wanted him to use the OWA but there server is on a 64k isdn line connected 24/7 with a static IP-which is so slow he'd prefer have a replica of his office desktop on his home PC thanks in advance Troy ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: smoua@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: kennymann@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
