Al

Is this the problem for this customer ?

ERROR: The IP of one or more of your mail server(s) have no reverse DNS (PTR)
entries (if you see "Timeout" below, it may mean that your DNS servers did not
respond fast enough). RFC1912 2.1 says you should have a reverse DNS for all
your mail servers. It is strongly urged that you have them, as many mailservers
will not accept mail from mailservers with no reverse DNS entry. You can
double-check using the 'Reverse DNS Lookup' tool at the DNSstuff site. The
problem MX records are:
61.16.168.81.in-addr.arpa [No reverse DNS entry (rcode: 3 ancount: 0) (check

I have set the server up with No Reverse DNS lookup as stuff on this forum
indicates not to ...................

Likely it's something with the AOL messaging client. A setting that says
not to include the original message on reply or something similar. Very
common with AOL.

I have setup a redirect messages option by following the excellent tutorial
by Mark Fuggatt, so that messages sent to person@xxxxxxxxxxx are forwarded
back out to person@xxxxxxxx The messages get through ok to person@xxxxxxx
but when person@xxxxxxx replies to those messages the originator does not
appear to see the message. Any idea's ? As I write this I'm thinking that
there is some sort of circular routing going on.
