Mike,

You only need 1 RSG per Administrative group. You cannot restore a
database to the RSG if it's from a different administrative group.
There's a great resource from MS on using the Recovery Storage Group
here:

Subject: [exchangelist] Recovery Storage Group

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi all,

I am running Ex2k3 Enterprise on Win2k3 Server. I have 3 regular
storage groups configured. I want to create a "Recovery Storage Group".
Do I need to make three recovery storage groups (one for each live
storage group), or will I just need the one Recovery Storage Group which
will take care of all three live storage groups?

Currently all storage groups are under 2GB in size but potentially could
grow to well beyond that.

best regards
Mike Salim.
