Webshield is the heavist software i've ever seen. I'd recommend you Either GFI
MailSecurity or CA's eTrust.

GFI has the advantage of being extremely more configurable and has several
virus scanning engines. It can run on your front-end with IIS SMTP.

CA has the advantage of being extremely cheap and very light. However, eTrust
can only run as an option over Exchange. Still, unbreakable.

Subject: [exchangelist] Recomendations on gateway antivirus

Hello group,
We are currently using McAfee Webshield 4.5 as our antivirus for the
Internet email gateway. We are finding it not very sophisticated to
block the new viruses, especially the new Bagle virus with encrypted Zip
files. Any suggestions as to what is the better product to use as a
gateway antivirus scanner ?

Thank you.
