That is completely wrong, Recipient Containers in 5.5 are not the same as
Contacts in Exchange 2000/2003, Custom Recipients in Exchange 5.5 are the
same as Contacts in Exchange 2000/2003.

Organizational Units as Paul mentioned are what really replace Recipient
Containers.

Yes you do have recipient containers in Exchange 2000.  They are called
contacts.  A contact is a person who has an email address but does not have
any security relationship in Active Directory.

If you do not know the answer to that question then you need to do some
serious reading about Active Directory I'm afraid. You do not have recipient
containers in Exchange 2000/3.  Read up on organisational units in Active
Directory.
