Thank you. I had thought about that but I was not sure. That would explain it.

Are you aware that the "clock starts over" after you move the items to the deleted items folder?

Exchange 2007 has greatly improved control over these functions...

Subject: [ExchangeList] Recipient Policies

We are in the process of implementing some recipient policies to help clean up mailboxes. For each mail store, I have setup a policy to move items to the deleted items folder after a certain number of days and then a policy for deleting items immediately from the deleted items folder after a certain number of days. The policies for moving items appear to be working fine, however the ones for deleting are not working. I have the age limit of 120 days on the deleted items folder with no size limits. There are items on some of the mailboxes older than 120 days. My thinking was it would move items to the deleted items, then if those items were older than 120 days, they would be deleted this first time. Should these polices be set in a certain priority under the recipient policies?

The polices are running on Saturdays at 12:00 am. Can anyone give me some possible suggestions on what might be causing these policies not to apply?

Thanks in advance.
