I have several RUS pointing to other DCs.  We noticed that the ADUC on
the workstation in question is pointing to a different DC that we
thought.  We are going to point it to a another DC and see if we can
notice a difference.

You can try RUS pointing to other DC. Configure RUS on other exchange
server. If all these not works you can delete RUS and create a new
one...

        considered upgrading your entire AD to 2003? This might be your
