You need to mail enable the Security group, so if you go into Active
Directory Users and Computers and right click on the Security group, you
will see Exchange Tasks, then "Establish an e-mail address" give it an alias
and then wait a few minutes for Exchange to do its bit and then you should
see it when you goto the permissions of your Public Folder.

That is the error I am getting. How do I add a security group to client
permissions? When I go to add, it brings up the global address list which
does not include security groups. Any ideas?

Lorie

Is the error 80004005, if it is, you are trying to apply permissions using a
Distribution group and not a Security group, Distribution groups do not have
a SID and cannot be used for permissions.

If this is not the error, please tell us what it is.

I am trying to add permissions to a public folder using a group. It gives
me an error when I try to do this. Is this not allowed or is it an issue
with the server?

Thanks!
