Pst Size 1.78 GB

Hi 

I have a pst which has crossed the size of 1.78 GB. Can someone help me
and let me know how can i retrieve my mails. The problem is that the
moment i  try to access the pst , my system hungs.

Please send me a mail on this ASAP as it is very crucial.
