Problems with MS Exchange 2000 And GFI Mail Essentials

Hi All,
I've been trying to deploy GFI Mail essentials V. 9 onto our messaging
bridgehead server so that all incoming mail for our domain is checked for spam
and all outgoing messages have a disclaimer added to them.
However I've come across a problem whereby after a while mail stops being
processed by the server and the queue directory starts to fill up.
The only way around this is to disassociate the Mail Essentials Event sinks and
then re-start the server.
Has anyone else had any kind of problems with this software
