Pop & Smtp Help

Hi guys,
I hope someone can assist me on this one.
Be very grateful.
What filter I need to setup to send and receive external mail from a client 
machine.
I can do this well on a DC also my internal email works great.
I would appreciate any guidance on setting this up on ISA or Exchange.
