I managed to get the article 256927 on how to sort out this issue but it
give an error that the imsperf.dll is in the memory and thus should use
pview to disable it from the memory. If and when I use pview it only gives
me the *.exe file in memory and not dll. Could someone give more light on
this.

I am currently running Windows NT 4.0 and Exchange 5.5. I have been trying
to start the performance monitor but I am getting an error and the monitor
is hanging.

The error is:

Event Type:Error
Event Source:Perflib
Event Category:None
Event ID:1008
Description:
The Open Procedure for service "MSExchangeIMC" in DLL
"G:\EXCHSRVR\bin\imsperf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will
not be available. The Status code returned is the first DWORD 0.

I have gotten a solution from Microsoft in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
- 256927 which is giving me a procedure to follow but I do not know
implications it will have on my IMC. Could someone who has done this before
assure me that it is not a dangerous procedure.

regards
