I can tell you all why. When you have setup offline folders and you have your 
laptop sitting somewhere logged in but not on a network, anyone can open your 
e-mail. This would be great so someone at your console cannot just open your 
mail.

2003 OST when used in (Exchange) Cached Mode?  Similar to the way you can 
password protect a PST.
