PST files ! How ?

I ran exmerge to dump the mailboxes to .PST files but I was prompted
to enter the server name (network ID) and the domain name for the server I
wish to dump to. I thought the .PST were supposed to be created somewhere
on the HD.
Any ideas how to dump them to .PST files on the same HD ? I was surprised
that I had to specify another server.
I thought it was a piece of cake but realized it wasn't.
