PLEASE HELP - GAL Issues affecting organization

Hello all,
Setup: Exchange 5.5 running on NT4.0
It appears that this morning many of our users, but not all, are unable
to view the Global Address Book in Outlook. I have no clue what is going
on.... We have no address book views setup so there should be no
permissions issues (that I am aware of). Here are the symptoms -
- When clicking on the address book, an error pops up stating 'you do not
have sufficient permission to view this object'
- if the user closes outlook and restarts, or reboots their PC, the Global
Address List is not even an option to look at. They can only select their
personal address books.
Please help or point to any reference materials!
