Thanks...It only works if I take it out of cached mode.  Of course, when I take 
it out of cached mode all the emails in that folder disappear.  They return 
once I place it in cache mode again.  Looks like I just need to start from 
scratch on that machine.

Modify the Exchange mail account and click the More Settings button, Advanced 
tab, and check the box for cached mode.

I have the same issue...cannot set rule server side....how do you enable cached 
mode on the machine side?

Current version of Outlook 2003 is 11.8010.6568.   Get your software up to date.

If that doesn't help, then answer these questions:

1. Where is mail delivered

2. Where is the destination folder for the rule?

 

Your choices for both questions are:

a) Exchange-based storage

b) Personal Folders (PST) storage

 

If you said (b) for either question, change delivery and the destination 
folder(s) for the rule(s) to Exchange-based storage.  This will make the rules 
operate server-side.  If that causes a problem for offline operation, enable 
cached mode.

Good evening,

 

I have been troubleshooting a problem with the rules option in Outlook.

 

For some reason, If I create a rule, it will work for a while and then it will 
(for example) stop sending the emails based to a folder based on a criteria(s)

 

Any guidance would be appreciate
