Are you using NT Password Authentication in your Outlook profile? If
you set security to 'None' you will get prompted for the
username/password everytime you start outlook.

Subject: [exchangelist] Outlook Password Dialog Box

Hi Everyone

A few of my users get the password dialog box everytime they access
Outlook. I have found KB articles in Microsoft's site and a few articles
using Google. The articles all say the same thing. It's a registry
edit. What I've noticed is that it points to:

and it says to add an Exchange Key and then the logon info will populate
that key and that should be that.

However, none of my users has a <UserName> under hkey_Users. There's a
".default" key and some keys with numbers, but that's it.

Should I add a UserName key? Should I do something else? I've tried
adding the Exchange key under .default but that doesn't work.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
