Hi Simon,
This is not possible with proxy addresses as you have configured for the
user object. Proxy addresses are not allowed to be used as delegated
IDs. However, there is workaround for this, and if you want you can try
this out. First remove the proxy address from the user Object. Create a
new additional mailbox for the user, and add the proxy address to the
new mailbox, and make that as the Primary SMTP address. Add the original
user ID to have full permissions to this new mailbox, and also assign
Send As permissions. Configure the new mailbox to forward all incoming
emails to the user's original mailbox. This way, when the user wants to
send a mail as the second ID, he can use the From: filed and select the
other mailbox ID as the sender ID.

Hi,

i have a senario where i have one user who wants to be able to send out 
emails from different email addresses; for example fred@xxxxxxxxxxx and 
fred@xxxxxxxxxxxx  currently this user is able to recieve from both
email 
addresses.  but now wants to be able to send from either.  i.e have the 
reply addresses to either address that he chooses.

can anybody point me to documentation that is able to make this
possible??

setup:

Server: Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003
Client: XP Pro and Outlook 2003
