OWA with ISA 2004 error 500 when not English after login

Hi, I'm having a problem where if the IE language is set to anything
other then English you get error 500 after being authenticated at the
initial login screen. It's being authenticated ok because if I type
owa/exchange/firstname.2ndname/# the inbox comes up fine. any ideas?
