OWA via external IP

Dear exchlist;
Maybe this is a silly question, but i'm very curious about this...
I have 1 exchange server 5.5 sp4 + Web server (IIS4) and the server have 2
NIC... first IP used to local connection and second IP used to internet
connection. but i have a problem, when i access OWA via local connection, it
works, but if i want to access OWA via internet connection it doesn't work.
not only OWA, just access web server via internet connection doesn't work
too.....
2 weeks ago, i could access via public_ip, but i don't know it's not working
now...maybe i did a mistake until it doesn't work anymore...
http://local_ip/exchange (it works)
http://public_ip/exchange (it doesn't work)
what should i do if i will be able to access OWA via public_ip..
any suggest will be appreciated......
