ok... when I enter http://exch_ip/exchange I get the following:

No web site is configured at this address.

As for more info regarding our network setup...

The system I'm testing from is on our internal network (10. IP range) and the
IP configuration is set to use DHCP. On our DNS server it points to itself and
then is set to forward lookup to our ISP's DNS.

Our exchange box is also internal and in the active directory...

When configuring OWA we did this through
exchange/servers/<ourbox>/protocols/http
When we entered the appropriate data it was also created in IIS.
In the IIS entry we just entered our host entry for our email entry.

David you should take a closer look at your settings there. When
<exch_ip> in http://<exch_ip>/exchange resolves to an internal ip
address _and_ you have no proxy settings configured I don't see a reason
why the request should be intercepted by ISA.

Make sure that the ISA box can resolve internal names correctly too.
From what I understand this is not be the case, unless you happen to use
SBS.

Maybe you'd want to post more detailed information on your network
setup.

- from what client(s) are you trying to reach OWA (ip address,
SecureNAT/FW client)
- what are the DNS settings on that machine
- where's the AD and exchange installed

And of course, check the great articles on isaserver.org ;)
