Thanks guys, sorted. It was a simple as the guys account being resrticted to one particular pc.
1. Try different machine
2. Try going directly to his backend exchange server servername\exchange
3. See if you are able to log into his mailbox with your admin account. First log into your OWA mailbox then change to \exchange\hisusername
4. Change his pw

OWA works ok for othe users
