Devon,
Actually, this could have been done using the X500 Distinguished name
property. However, Windows server 2000 has a known bug, which prevents
this type of LDAP query from working correctly.

You can do as Al suggested, by using a "seeded" attribute. Every user
object in AD has 10 Custom attributes, which are available for you to
use for whatever purpose you want to. So, you can use one of the custom
attributes to identify these user objects in the OU. Just add a value to
one of this attribute, say Custom extensionAttribute1, and use a value
such as your OU name. You an access these extensionAttributes, by
enabling the advanced view in the Active directory users and computers
tool, and looking at the users "Exchange Advanced" property, and click
on the Custom Attributes button. You have to edit all user objects in
the OU to add the same value to the same extension attribute. Or you can
do this with a VBscript. Once you have all users object added with the
new attribute value, create a new address list view, and select Advanced
filter rules. In the "Fields" option select "User", and select the
"custom attribute 1", under "Condition" select "Is Exactly" and type the
value you used. Do a "find now", This will create list of users with the
new attribute.

Regards,

Raj

IIRC, in Exchange 2000 you cannot create an address list based on OU
membership. You can populate each member of the OU with a "seed"
attribute that identifies them as a member you'd like to include
however.

If there is another way, it's likely going to be found in the hosting
documents that Microsoft used to publish. Search the website to find
out where they moved the docs to.

In Exchange 2000, how can I create an 'Address List' based on an
Organizational Unit? Also, create one that includes multiple servers.
