OT: OWA drag and drop

Does anyone know how the OWA drag and drop functionality works? We are trying
to replicate that functionality but have hit a wall.... Or is it possible to
modify the OWA web pages?
Basically to be able to drag-and-drop database displayed records into a
database generated folder structure and on the drop function, have the back-end
database update the appropriate record.... much like OWA supports.
