What you might want to do a test through "Raw" smtp commands and see what kind of error you receive back from GFI. SMTP commands through the GFI Server. By the looks of it, i have a feeling that the GFI server might not recognize some type of SMTP argument that the other server is doing. If you go SMTP command By SMTP command that usually tells you a little more detail than the NDR's If you need help witht he commands please let me know. Hope that helps. -----Original Message----- From: Gene O'Brien [mailto:Gene@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2003 11:04 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Non-Delivery Message Help Please http://www.MSExchange.org/ I"m not the sender - i'm the admin of the recipient network. I have no control over how they send it. But it needs to be received by our users. And it's always worked in the past, until we set up GFI Mail Essentials with SMTP relaying.. so i figure it's got something to do with that. Yet, GFI is not blocking it as spam, it's processing sucessfully through Mail Essentials, but somewhere past that, it seems to generate the message listed below. It's just a basic text message, with a few hyperlinks to click on. No embedded graphics that i'm seeing, no fancy sig... nothing. -gene -----Original Message----- From: Rosales, Mario [mailto:MRosales@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2003 11:49 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Non-Delivery Message Help Please http://www.MSExchange.org/ Is there a certain type of attachment to this message? i.e. Graphics, some type of sig? -----Original Message----- From: Gene O'Brien [mailto:Gene@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2003 10:37 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Non-Delivery Message Help Please http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi All, Using Exchange 5.5 with GFI Mail Essentials 8.0. One particular vendor who regulary sends us mail is getting blocked somewhere along the line. They're whitelisted in GFI, so it would seem they're getting through there. Here's the Non Delivery message I get: Reporting-MTA: dns;tcrnycbde2.tcr-ny.com Received-From-MTA: dns;vtocqp01.sabre.com Arrival-Date: Tue, 22 Apr 2003 11:05:20 -0400 Final-Recipient: rfc822;bonnie@xxxxxxxxxx Action: failed Status: 5.6.1 Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.6.1 Body type not supported by Remote Host What do I need to look for here?? This is becoming quite an issue, as it's our travel agent, and our users need their itineraries!
