Existing domain is nfliquor.com, registered domain is nlliquor.com...this is
the one I am trying to get working for email, www works fine because I just put
a host header for www.nlliquor.com in IIS for our website. For nlliquor.com I
have the DNS MX record and an A record created for nlliquor.com

When I send an email from yahoo to me@xxxxxxx I get a NDR back from our
server...so the email is reaching the server, but the server rejects it.

Make sure RUS is configured to point to a valid DC, check your
Application Log and see if any errors are reported.

"I would recommend using the Recipient Policy to add the email
addresses,
not manually via ADUC." Did you try this suggestion from Mark?
