Native mode

Hi All
I am about to switch a W2k domain controller with e2k from mixed mode to
native mode. We have no NT4 DCs etc, my question is this, has process ever
gone wrong for anyone?
If for some reason it does go wrong (I realise this is v.unlikely), will
the solution be to reinstall the DC and reinstall backup and this will bring
me back to the original state.
I know that my domain is supposed to be running in native mode but I guess
its always better to be a bit paranoid.
