Moving Exchange Server: How to move contacts?

Hello all,

I am moving our Exchange 2000 server to a new box. 
So far so good in moving test accounts and replicating public folders over. 
However I can not figure out how to move our custom contacts to the new machine.

Any tips greatly appreciated.
