Messages as Post instead of Note in Public Folders

Messages posted via smtp to a Public Folder in Exchange 2003 server appears
as a post message class instead of as ipm.note
I have applied the hotfix mentioned in article 817809. This fixed the post
issue, but I notice that any attachments in the original message appears as
a class ipm.post. which makes it had to reply etc and also archive without
any changes.
Is there a fix for this.??
