MessageHi Doug There are only 5 users on the network. They all have full access to the folder. thanks Ryan ----- Original Message ----- From: Stelley, Doug To: [ExchangeList] Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2003 12:09 PM Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Maybe Slightly off Topic but... http://www.MSExchange.org/ There is a difference between sharing and the security rights for that folder. You're saying the folder is shared, and you have given 5 users specific security rights to it? What is the default security for everyone else? Can they browse, but not read/write? You lose your mind. -----Original Message----- From: Ryan Thomas [mailto:ryan@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2003 6:55 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Maybe Slightly off Topic but... http://www.MSExchange.org/ Have a strange problem with a shared folder on win2kserver. It is shared between 5 people but keeps getting upwards of 10 users accessing it (I can tell this as I stop sharing it to clear the users and it says 10 people are connected). One of the users must be getting multiple connections somehow as no other users are on this particular network. How can I see which user is causing the problem ? thanks Ryan ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: dstelley@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: info@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') _______________________ Confidentiality Notice: The information contained in this message may be legally privileged and confidential information intended only for the use of the individual or entity named above.
