Thanks for the file.... it was definitely helpful.... I am using 2.6 for
Exchange. Is the 3.0 a new version, I assume. I'll have to look into it.

Thanks again.

I'm using version 3.0. The title on the CD is "Symantec AntiVirus /Filtering
for Microsoft Exchange version 3.0" I'll email you a screen shot of the
interface I see with the menus expanded so you can see the options. I have
to email it to you directly as when I did it for someone else and sent it to
the list the gif file was too big for the list server to accept (only 83mb)

I am using Symantec's Norton AntiVirus for Exchange V2.16 in MAPI mode on an
Exchange 2K server.
Where is the activate setting for spam filters? I have gone through every
menu in NAV and
did not see anything at all pertaining to spam filtering.

Julie are you using MailShield or Symantec AV for Exchange ? I've only found
this on the Symantec AV for Exchange when it's installed on an Exchange 2K
server

We also use this product, and I cannot find anywhere to activate the spam
control...
Is it an installation option? I was not aware it had spam control built in
either.

Could you give me some details on activating this? Wasn't aware that it had
spam control built in. Thanks!

I use Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition with the Exchange option. As well
as being a wonderful antivirus solution we've found that the version for
Exchange 2000 has excellent spam control built in. All you have to do is
activate it. It also has content, subject and sender filtering as well

Is anyone familiar with Lyris' MailShield Server? We're looking at
anti-spam software. I've seen Mail Essentials and TrendMicro mentioned on
this list and I was wondering if anyone has used MailShield.

Thanks
