Require them to authenticate to the server to send. ________________________________ From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 7:00 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Issues with SMTP Importance: High http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi, I am having some issues with SMTP server. I have clients which connect via the LAN to the exchange server using POP3 and SMTP, the reason for this is they insist on using their own notebook computers and out dated Microsoft Office to obtain their email from the company. The issue I am having is with Relay. They can get their email via POP3 however when they send their email out on the local LAN it tells them they aren't able to replay their email through the SMTP server. How do I get around this without opening the relay up??
