Hi Grace

Yes it is possible to run Exchange 5.5 on a Windows 2000 Server, if the
Windows 2000 Server is an Active Directory Domain Controller one thing you
must do is modify the LDAP port that the Exchange 5.5 Directory Services
uses, the reason for this is Exchange 5.5 Directory Service uses port 389
and so does the Windows 2000 LDAP Service and this would cause a conflict,
below is an article that details the steps you need to take.

If you are running Windows 2000 Active Directory then yes you will need the
Active Directory Connector to keep the Exchange 5.5 Directory Service and
the Windows 2000 Active Directory in sync.;en-us;Q224447

Hope this helps
