Invalid Delegates

If an Outlook 2003 delegate is not removed before the mailbox is disabled or
deleted, then that invalid delegate can then generate NDR's.

We've found also that after Mailbox Manager has run, then the visible delegate
in the user's Outlook disappears, but the pointer is still there. A way to
remove it is to add any delegate, then remove it. This gets rid of the invalid
delegate by overwriting it apparently.

Is there a tool or method to globally remove invalid delegates from Outlook
2003?

Here's a good starting point. Look about ½-way down the page.

can you send me a reference to what perf stats are given to exchange from
outlook? that sounds cool. I'm not familiar with that.

MOM 2005 will do just what you are asking for. In addition to its other
extensive Exchange monitoring, it picks up the performance data that Outlook
sends to Exchange. It can create alerts for errors and it also logs the
performance data for reporting.

I'm interested to hear opinions on the best monitoring solution for
Exchange. I've seen people talk MOM.

I'm wondering if there are solutions out there which actually guage and
monitor performance from the client side? I think it'd be great for a tool to
actually make mapi calls and for the data to be aggregated and used to identify
performance issues. That seems like a more wholistic approach than gathering
perfmon counters.

        Thanks! C.
