Hi all.. Read the information regarding the database size in Exchange.. We are using Exchange 2003 SP1. The default database size is nearing. Is it possible to increase the database size in Exchange 2003 SP1 itself or Do we need to install SP2. If we install SP2, what is the max size for the database that I should give in the Exchange Registry? The current size of our database is around 16 GB and the Hard disk size is 216 GB. I've done this several times on 5.5 and 2003 and is supported. ________________________________ From: Naboth Semwayo [mailto:NabothS@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 2005 8:35 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Information store size increasing... http://www.MSExchange.org/ I think you might have to throw in another 100Gig + Hardrive in your server. Otherwise there is no way the defrag is going to be successful. I sufggest in future you try and keep the database in check by doing routine defrags especially with the number of mailboxes you have. Have you implemented mailbox size limits for your users? This might also be a good idea if you havent. -----Original Message----- From: Bhoopathy M [mailto:bhoops2006@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, 13 December, 2005 11:53 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Information store size increasing... http://www.MSExchange.org/ Thanks for the update. But in my case my Information store size is nearly 100GB and my HDD is 136 GB .I read in MSExchange.org that the free space should be 110%. How can i do this ??? And if you ask how to perform an off-line defragmentation...
