Is it really the only way?

It would screw up everything in her Exchange settings :)

http://www.MSExchange.org/ How about renaming the account with this:

firstname.lastname and let them know that this is the only way it will
work for IMAP. Thus problem solved :)

One of my users insisted on a logon like this: "firstname
lastname".

The logon "firstname lastname" fonctions over Exchange but the
login "firstname lastname@xxxxxxxxxxxx" does not with IMAP.

She would like to enable IMAP at her house, as she thinks her
slow connection will not work with Exchange,

I tried replacing the space with %20 it does not work.

        What do you suggest?

        Thanks in advance!
