IM in Exchange 2000

i have doubts regarding the IM in exchange 2000
1) Does IM allows the Exchange users to add the internet contacts (i.e
yahoo,msn,etc..).If yes? how ?
2) I want to install msn client on the users machine and allow them to
only authenticate to the IM server. So can the internet contacts add my IM
account to their contact lists ?. if yes ?. How & what e-mail should they
add ?
Any help will be highly appreciated. i want to know more about IM in
exchange 2000. Any website reference will be appreciated
